Texas Outdoor Education Association
"Making the World our Classroom" since 1979

Welcome to TOEA!

What is TOEA?

The Texas Outdoor Education Association (TOEA) is a non-profit education community that promotes bringing the outdoors into our classrooms and our classrooms to the world. TOEA offers an annual Fall Workshop where educators from across Texas can share ideas with one another.

Search Begins For New Executive Secretary

At the board meeting held in conjunction with the 2015 Outdoor Education Workshop Gary Guenthner, current executive secretary, confirmed his intention to not submit an agreement extension when his current agreement expires at the January 2017 board meeting.  If you are interested in submitting an application and a proposal to serve as the executive secretary, please contact Carlos Guerrero, TOEA President, for a list of the duties and responsibilities adopted by the board and a list of additional duties and responsibilities that have been assigned to the position by the current agreement.

The board has not set a deadline to applications and proposals, but would like to have a person selected prior to the August board meeting to allow a smooth transition of the officers and executive secretary especially regarding changes to the authorized signers for the checking account, website registration, PayPal account and other accounts and contact information.
